“I’m Not Guilty”… but are you sure?

Many (actually most) of my former white conservative evangelical friends have been offended and wounded by suggesting they are responsible or in some way culpable for the egregious racist actions of their forefathers. It wasn’t me! I didn’t personally do it. Why should I be responsible? Why should I even learn about it? Still they demonstrate by their inactions an unwillingness to redress history or any inclination to make right the inhumane wrongs against people who do not look like themselves. They have repeatedly proven that they do not care nor have a truly biblical understanding of what, we as a nation, are about to lose.

“Our kings, our rulers, and our ancestors have acted shamefully and sinned against You, Lord.

To all evangelical conservatives, I submit as evidence the prophet Daniel who, unlike you, understood the burden known as the sins of our fathers. Ironically, conservative evangelicals think they are fighting to preserve a Christian nation without owning the carnage that this barbaric nation has wreaked upon others in the name of said “christianity.” Daniel, on the other hand, chose not to get butt-hurt by the allegations of national sins, nor did he work overtime to create distance from the hypocrites, the political bullies, the men whores, or those guilty of rape, murder, fraud, deceit, and all manners of ungodliness. He just owned it.

Rather than play stupid, Daniel accepted the facts as they were. Then he prayed on behalf of his forefathers and national leaders, “Our kings, our rulers, and our ancestors have acted shamefully and sinned against You, Lord. We did not listen to You, O LORD our God, when You told us to live according to the laws which You gave us through your servants the prophets.” Daniel‬ ‭9:8, 10‬ ‭GNB‬‬

With fear, I predict this nation, the United States of America, will experience a world of hurt because white conservative evangelical Christians have absolutely abandoned the truth and their faith for a national religion called Patriotism and a king named trump. They have no shame for what the world knows are historically horrid crimes against humanity. Instead, they display arrogant, self-righteous, white supremest behaviors that are as ungodly as Satan himself.

Father, regarding white conservative evangelicals, forgive them, for they clearly do not know what they are doing.”
